What exactly is a tone-focused tuning?
Tonal tuning involves more than just pure intervals. My approach considers all sound-relevant components of the instrument – especially the soundboard.
For example, I balance the string tension in front of and behind the bridge. The result is a responsive soundboard capable of reproducing a rich spectrum of overtones.

Until 2025 I was a piano tuner at Steinway & Sons in Hamburg. During this time, I received extensive training in the field of tone and sound quality. In addition, I also took part in advanced training programs in Luxembourg, Spain, France and Austria.
Since 2025, I have been working independently, serving clients across Germany. I also regularly maintain the pianos at Teldex Studio Berlin.
